Son of the Rev Thomas Simpson Evans 1777 - 1818 and Deborah MASCALL 1776 - 1833

Died 30th January 1880
Married Jane MERRIMAN 1804 - 1897 m. on 20 Dec. 1831. Jane was daughter of Doctor John MERRIMAN and Jane HARDWICK of Kensington Square.
Thomas was Vicar of St Leonard’s, Shoreditch for nearly 40 years. It is now known as the Actors’ Church.

In later life he was incumbent of Buckland in Dover.
Jane and Thomas had eight children as follows
1. Hardwick EVANS 14 Oct 1832 - 28 Dec. 1884 at Mittagong, N.S.W.; married at Sydney, New South Wales, Eliza (née MEADE), widow of Capt. BATES.
2. Norman EVANS 7 Sept 1834 - 1913; married 7 Dec.1864, Mary Isabel GALLAGHER 1842- 1885.
They went to live in Peru, South America
Their children were –
i) Norman John EVANS, 1866 - 1925 married Amelia CROHARÉ.
They had three children -
1) Cibil EVANS 1905 who married Ivan GENIT.
2) Norman EVANS CROHARÉ 1908 - 1929 (no issue)
3) Harry EVANS CHROHARÉ 1911 - 1978 married Margarita SENORET 1917 - 2003 (Chilean.)
Harry and Margarita had two children.
1) Harry Georete EVANS married Maria Isabel CASTRO (Chilean.)
Three children.
2) Vivian EVANS SENORET married to Jaime LIEBANA (Peruvian.)
Two children.
ii) Alicia EVANS b.1867 d.
iii) Isabel Juanita EVANS b. 1869 d.
iv) Edward Clinton EVANS b.1879 d. who married Leonor LEMBCKE b.1883 Lima, Perú
Because of the way surnames are organised in Latin America, the name EVANS (of this branch of the family) has continued well there to this day, even if harnessed with other names. Elsewhere the name EVANS (in our family) has been lost.
3. Jane EVANS 21 Nov 1836 - 5 Feb 1864; married 1 May 1855 at St Matthias, Stoke Newington, John CHARRINGTON 1818 - 1901.
Their children were -

ii) Edward Pusey CHARRINGTON, Oct 1858 - lost in the Atalanta, May 1880
iii) Mary CHARRINGTON, 29 Jan 1864.
4. Nicholl EVANS 17 April 1837 - 1904, married 10 Aug 1864 Bertha OLDERSHAW 1840 -

5. Turberville EVANS 1 July 1838 - 1918; married Louisa EVATT, widow of Dr Tomkin of Witham.

ii) Alice Evatt EVANS 1869 - April 1890
Turberville buried his aunt Aspasia EVANS 1799 - 1876
6. Neville EVANS 18 Dec 1839 - 1919; married 5 May 1874, Alice Matilda Sophia HOUGHTON and had eight children.
7. Florence EVANS 22 Oct 1841 - 14 March 1883; married Aug 1880 at Buckland, near Dover, Ernest OLDERSHAW.
They had one son
i) Ernest Evans OLDERSHAW, born 29 Jan 1883
8. Bernard EVANS 24 July 1845 - 29 April 1891; married Marianne JACKSON b.1842
