On the 28th ult., at Penrhyndendraeth, North Wales (by the Rev. Canon Baynes, vicar of St. Michael's Coventry, uncle of the bride, assisted by the Rev. David Morgan, vicar of the parish). Philip Edward Vizard, of the Exchequer of Pleas office, son of Edward Vizard, Esq., of Sissinghurst, Kent, to Louisa Cadbury, eldest daughter of John Ash Baynes, Esq. of Hampstead: also, at the same time and place, Helton Arnold, eldest son of J. A. Baynes, Esq., to Ellen Mary, second daughter of Joseph Foster, Esq., of Bristol.
The Intellectual
Philip, the next son, was the intellectual of the family, and was in the Legal Profession and quite well-off. He had a large house in Hampstead, which was the centre of the intelligentsia of the period. His wife was the aunt of the world-famous archaeologist, Sir Mortimer Wheeler. They belonged to numerous intellectual and scientific societies and saw very little of the group of relatives at Ealing.
I only remember seeing him once when I was quite small.
